On the first day of the trip, you are expected to arrive at the starting location between 10:00 and 11:00. We will spend 20-60 minutes signing the legal waivers, packing the kayaks, and sealing the waterproof compartments. After that, kayaking instructions will be given, and you will get a map of the region.
When you get the hang of paddling, you are free to start the first activities! For the first day this will be:
Depending on your group’s preference, the survial challenges can either be integrated into the scavenger hunt, or they can be a separate event.
In the evening you will have time to yourselves to unwind, relax, and bond with one another. You can decide to fill this with a BBQ* or a bonfire (we recommend adding some marshmallows for good taste).
(*BBQ set and dinner will only be provided upon request. Otherwise, we advise you to take your own preferred food along with you. You will receive a list of recommended grocery items which are suitable for the occasion.)
Depending on how early your group wants to get up you can request a free beaver spotting tour (starting around 06:00 in the morning).
After the beaver tour you will have time to have breakfast at your camping location, take down and pack the tents, and enjoy the second and last day. Here you can choose to take part in one of the following activities:
Farm experience (*Needs to be reserved in advance, only an option if available).
A (competitive) obstacle course run.
When your group has enjoyed the region, gotten some time to connect and paddle around, and you’re all feeling ready to head back home, you can head back to the starting location where a Unpack & Kayak crew member will await your return. Please be sure to text the base camp about your expected return at least two hours prior to arrival.
